Pat has started something new.
Wednesday 16 july she enjoyed her farewell party at PCC after many years of dedicated work as caregiver and volunteer-coordinator.
Thursday 17 july she moved over to the “White house” as we call the rehab center in nkoranza town and started her new life as coordinator of Clear Mind.
C. Will arrive during this weekend and stay for a minimum of two month, maybe three. While he will have to put a lot of energy in changing an old addiction habit he will be under the wings of coach Pat and will no doubt help her also to set up the daycare in the white house. Win-win.
Why a daycare under the same roof as a rehab centre? Two reasons. First of all Pat will have to earn a living and Clear Mind is not paying her a salary. So that is a big reason. Second reason is equally important: a person recovering from an alcohol addiction in a small town does not want to be identified as such. People will talk and always talk too much. Therefore it is nice to have a low key white house where activities with daycare go hand in hand with other issues like recovering from a disease like addiction. Win win.
Thank you all persons who made this possible, especially Pat herself, a wonderful multipurpose woman with great spirit and lots of abilities.
Good luck sister Pat!Good luck C. Good luck daycare kids!
